Job Overview

The Service Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing pool equipment while ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer service. This role is integral to the success of our projects, providing hands-on technical support, diagnosing issues, and creating solutions that exceed client expectations.

Position Details:

  • Location: Charleston, SC
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Reports To: Service Manager

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Installation and Repair:

  • Install, diagnose, and repair pool equipment for residential pools.
  • Work with pumps, filters, timers, heaters, lights, and sanitizers.
  • Provide estimates for repairs and replacements to customers

Plumbing and Electrical Work:

  • Perform plumbing modifications, pad replacements, and leak detection.
  • Work with 110V and 220V electrical systems, including automation panels.

Customer Interaction:

  • Provide service recommendations and general guidance to clients.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow all safety procedures, including safe working and driving habits.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures to ensure exceptional results.

Service Technician Skill Levels

  • Level 1: Basic knowledge of plumbing, pumps, filters, and timers, including installations and minor repairs.
  • Level 2: Advanced plumbing, installation of valves, booster pumps, and larger system modifications.
  • Level 3: Diagnose and repair heaters, install automation panels, and perform pad replacements and leak detection.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of pool equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of automation and multi-meters for electrical connections.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of pool systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and stand for long periods.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
