New Construction Manager

Job Overview

The New Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all pool construction projects, managing project managers and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets, and driving operational improvements. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.

Position Details:

  • Location: Charleston, SC
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Reports To: Leadership Team

Key Responsibilities

Construction Oversight & Management:

  • Direct and manage all pool construction activities from project initiation to completion.
  • Supervise project managers, construction coordinators, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all construction policies, checklists, and quality control measures are followed.

Scheduling & Process Improvement:

  • Develop and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Track construction timelines and identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimize production capacity to align with sales demand.
  • Maintain relationships with key builders and oversee builder-specific projects.

Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination:

  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and address deficiencies.
  • Continuously recruit and onboard subcontractors to meet production needs.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and negotiate pricing agreements.

Customer Satisfaction & Issue Resolution:

  • Work directly with customers to address escalated concerns.
  • Ensure consistent communication with project managers, design consultants, and the operations team.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent customer service issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in construction management or project oversight preferred.

Skills & Physical Requirements:

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
