The Journey So Far

Originally from Manhattan and now a proud Charleston resident since 2018, I’ve always had a deep connection to water. I started as a lifeguard at 15 and grew up with a father who’s an architect—so design and construction have always been second nature. Today, I find true joy in transforming clients’ visions into stunning, memory-filled backyard spaces.

My Passion & Purpose

What excites me most is the opportunity to take my clients’ ideas and turn them into tangible plans that ultimately come to life in their backyards. Watching them use and enjoy the spaces we’ve created together, exactly as they envisioned, is incredibly rewarding. It’s about making their dream outdoor oasis a reality, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing that transformation unfold.

Building Connections That Last

What I enjoy most is listening to my clients’ wants, needs, and dreams, and then working hand in hand with them to bring those visions to life. I take the time to truly understand what they’re looking for, paying close attention to every detail. I ask thoughtful questions to clarify their vision, ensuring we’re aligned every step of the way. What makes me good at what I do is my genuine care for the project and the people I’m working with. My eye for detail and focus on cohesion help transform ideas into reality, creating spaces that are not only functional but beautifully aligned with my clients’ dreams.

What I Value Most

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the project through to completion and hearing from clients about how the backyard operates exactly as they envisioned from the very beginning. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that all the planning, design, and hard work came together to create a space that perfectly meets their needs and brings their dreams to life. The satisfaction and joy they feel when using their new outdoor space is what makes the whole process so worthwhile.

Design Details That Inspire Me

My favorite pool feature is the Negative Edge Pool. There’s something incredibly dramatic and serene about the way the water seems to disappear into the horizon or flow over the edge. It creates a seamless connection between the pool and its surroundings, adding a unique, luxurious touch to any backyard. The visual effect is mesmerizing and adds a sense of infinity to the space, making it one of my top choices for a show-stopping design element.

A Glimpse Into Who I Am

When I’m not busy crafting outdoor retreats, I’m at home, soaking up quality time with my family. Whether it’s building DIY projects with my kids, exploring the countless local parks, or simply enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, family time is my top priority. We love to spend weekends biking through scenic trails, having picnics in the park, or just letting the dogs run free while we unwind together. Our two doggos are always part of the fun, adding their own playful energy to every adventure. The joy of creating lasting memories with my loved ones is the perfect way to balance the demands of my work and recharge for the next creative challenge. Family, fun, and the great outdoors are at the heart of everything I do.

The Most Enjoyable Contractor Experience We’ve Ever Had

With our pool project coming to an end, all I can say is that it has been an absolute pleasure working with Heritage. We first met our amazing sales rep, Devin Dockery, at the Charleston Boat show. Went to buy a boat and instead bought a pool. Everyone has been over the top helpful from Mackenzie to Devin, and even the guys we see during daily work from Marco to Andy. Everything was planned very well from start to finish, and while some things got changed around the finished project, it is exactly what we envisioned. Any issue or concern was quickly resolved, with a how would you like this fixed attitude, which I have never received from any contractor in my life. Everyone is quick to answer or respond when anything comes up, which was worth more than you can imagine when dealing with such a big project. If you're looking to get a pool, a hot tub, or even a backyard oasis, definitely give Heritage a chance to show you their amazing work, you wont be disappointed. While Heritage will not be doing our landscaping, I will post updated photos cause it will make their work look that much better!

From Design to Finish – Perfect!

LOVE our pool! Devin, our designer, LISTENED to what I wanted, made suggestions when choosing tile (showed what it would like like when wet.... TOTALLY different BTW). When they first sprayed the blue, it was soooo blue but he was right... once the water was in, it looked great. I TOTALLY recommend this company. Any concerns were addressed immediately (thank you MacKenzie... sooo knowledgeable and every step of the way!) and a special thanks to Devin for making changes to the design until it was exactly what I was looking for!

Heritage Pools is the way to go! We saw them do a pool in our neighborhood and asked our neighbor if they would recommend them when we decided it was our turn for a pool.
